On another note, we have been contemplating the merger idea of teams should the turn out be poor and where there are too many for a team, we could also create extra teams and yes, thank you, I am back and the trip was tremendously successful though lacking in colours, it was complimented with WEIGHT. just 1 question, how active is one supposed to be? I mean... if sometimes I cannot make it to the events (such as conflicting schedules etc) or insufficient gear (lol) ... you know... Anyway, this league looks interesting and I'll try my newbie hand at sports fishing

Seriously speaking, there will changes to the whole scheme. The changes are likely to be:

Zonal memberships may not suffice to form proper teams – may change to form you own teams;

due to inconsistencies of most of our free time, plans are far ahead for teams to catch and verified at own time and target, their team catches; however this system needs team members to be very creditable and honest else it would defeat the sole purpose of this friendly competition;

as most of the competitors may be on shoestrings budget i.e. being students etc., we may include surfcasting in addition and/or replace local offshore. Suggestions of net casting came out during our discussion. TBC

On the whole, we still need more suggestions from everyone/anyone who has interest in this event which is being planned.

May I suggest that those who were present at last evening ad hoc discussion to brief and consult with other team leaders who were not present.

We may have to push for a early kick off meeting with all team leaders asap.
